In the Rustic Courtyard House, shed and gable roofs are used.  Changing the type of roof, will change the character, volume and cost of a new home.

Here, the Courtyard is not the primary entry point for the home, which allows possibilities for the Courtyard area to be a quiet space for contemplation, as in a  Japanese Garden.

Separate Entry locations creates another level of privacy between the Studio Apartment and Main Residence.
