ARCHIFLORA-
HOUSE

COMMUNITY PLANNING
Janice Nyman, principal of Archiflora has been involved as grant writer, volunteer and consultant to several community garden projects. Working with Kubota Garden she provided master plan schematic sketches. With Highline Seatac Botanical Garden, she assisted in the design of an core-ten entry Kiosk. In her West Seattle neighborhood, she sponsored a neighborhood renovation of a 300 foot traffic median, converting the median from invasives to an Orchard and Food forest. In Anchorage Alaska, she worked a short time as a Community Urban Forester enjoying a reconnection with her Alaskan heritage. She has a passion for sustainable methods practiced in Urban Forestry, and also greatly appreciates the inspiration and beauty landscape brings to us all.
